Teacher Creature Project

Proof Sheet

In the duration of this project, I had my goofs and giggles at the sheer funniness of putting my Humanities teacher's face on a hand. The main focus of this art piece has to be the bright colors that pop out from the gray-scale back ground. I got this effect by changing the "Layer Style" on the parts that I needed to be black and white (changed to Luminosity); which was Jeff, the flapper girl, Alley's face, the UFO, and the smoke stacks. I wanted it to have a fake feel, like a modern art piece, so that is why I decided to have some articles be surreal and colored. Tab soda wasn't a thing back in the 1920s, and the wallpaper over Jeff Goldblum's face is from the 70s; however it gives it such an aesthetic look. I like the Surreal look of the flowers. There are so many things to look like and I love it. It really reflects my art style in the form of a Photoshop document.

Photoshop Tutorial-  "Hair Color"

Picture
In this project we had to alter the hair color of a model. I chose this woman because I really enjoyed her freckles, and I thought it would be nice to have someone with white hair to work on. I believe in came out rather nice, and I learn a skill that I can use throughout. After finding my picture, I got the painting toll on Photoshop and went to work. I opened a new layer. Turning down the opacity on the pant tool (down to around 50%) and began coloring. After I changed her hair color, I merged the layers and it ended up pretty neat.

"Lovely  Hat  Doll"

Picture
After seeing the hair color tutorial, I really wanted to do something myself that used the same skills that I had learned from this said tutorial. I started out by changing the woman's skin color, I used the same steps as taken in the hair color tutorial. Even though it doesn't look realistic, it looks like pop art and I love it. I wanted to change the colors of the fruit in her hat, however I decided to just add things I really liked to it instead. It was easy to find images and use the magic wand tool to cut them out and copy them to the main image of the woman. After using the free transform tool, I          resized and shaped them to look good.
